ALEXIS BRANAGAN, a native of New Jersey, currently dances with New York Theatre Ballet, where she has performed works by Richard Alston, Sir Frederick Ashton, Gemma Bond, Chase Brock, Merce Cunningham, Agnes de Mille, Antonia Franceschi, Liza Gennaro, Donald Mahler, Keith Michael, Jerome Robbins, Pam Tanowitz, and Antony Tudor. She trained at New Jersey School of Ballet and spent summers at The Juilliard School, American Ballet Theatre, Kaatsbaan, and San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Before joining New York Theatre Ballet, she performed with New Jersey Ballet and Karole Armitage’s company, Armitage GONE! Dance. Alexis is a graduate of Princeton University, where she danced works by Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, and August Bournonville.
Alexis has taught at The School of New York Theatre Ballet and at Princeton Ballet School, the school of American Repertory Ballet. She has taught master classes for arts programs at schools across the country, including for Princeton University’s dance department.
