RIOULT Dance NY supports the creation and performance of the choreographic works of Pascal Rioult, and provides the community with an accessible and affordable center for dance and enrichment through the arts.

 

Accessibility for Dance/NYC 2019 Small-Budget Dance Makers Conference: RIOULT Dance Center is an accessible venue.  An elevator is available upon entrance to the building. All restrooms are gender-inclusive and wheelchair accessible. Studios are lit by fluorescent lights. ASL Interpretation will be provided at this event.

RIOULT Dance NY and LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC).

Who can audition?

Children ages 8-16 who live or go to school in Queens.
Borough-wide auditions select 40 children to perform alongside the professional dancers of RIOULT Dance NY.
No formal dance training is required.

How much does it cost?
It’s FREE.

Where?
Auditions and rehearsals will be held at RIOULT Dance Center.
Performances are held on the mainstage of LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC) 31-30 Thomson Ave. LIC. Hours TBA.

 

When?
Auditions will take place in January 2019. Rehearsals will take place January – March 2019.
Performances will take place on March 17 at 3pm (Public Performance) and March 18 at 10am & 11:30am (School Performances).

 

What is Fables?
Fables is a dance work choreographed by Pascal Rioult. Through dance, the piece tells timeless stories common to many cultures, such as The Hare and the Tortoise, The Oak and the Reed, The Ant and the Grasshopper, and others.

Fables has been performed in theaters in the US and abroad, connecting children, families, and communities to the performing arts.
