GINGER THATCHER, a former Principal dancer with Cleveland Ballet, joined the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company in 1990. She danced with Lubovitch until 1993, joining him as Assistant to the Choreographer for The Red Shoes on Broadway. She has been Assistant Choreographer/ Repetiteur for Lubovitch’s Othello, A Dance in Three Acts since its creation in 1997, and most recently for American Ballet Theater’s 75th Anniversary Season. She is currently Associate Choreographer/Assistant Director for the new musical Little Dancer with Susan Stroman. She has also been Associate Choreographer/Assistant Choreographer with Susan for For The Love of Duke, NYCB, and But Not For Me, Martha Graham Dance Co. for the Library of Congress. Her additional Lubovitch Rehearsal Director credits include A Brahms Symphony, Concerto 622, The Red Shoes Ballet, and Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame, (American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Norwegian National Ballet, Northern Ballet, England, and Theatre de Communale, Italy) She has choreographed works for Oregon Ballet Theater, Louisville Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Minnesota Ballet, American Repertory Ballet, Virginia Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, Ballet NY, Verb Ballets, plus productions in numerous theaters and opera companies nationwide. In addition, her Broadway credits include Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, Carousel, Lincoln Center, Big, A Year with Frog and Toad, and Oklahoma!
