Stephanie has been working on Broadway for over ten years originating four Broadway shows, all of which have been Tony-nominated for Best Musical and Grammy nominated for Original Cast Albums. In addition to singing on these original cast albums she has recorded multiple holiday albums for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and saw the Hamilton album hit multi-platinum. Most notably serving as Associate Choreographer, Original Cast Member & Global Supervising Choreographer for smash hit HAMILTON.
Stephanie recently added Direction to her resume last year when she helmed the remount of In The Heights at Washington, DC’s Kennedy Center last year to critical acclaim. She will be Directing & Choreographing This Is Sadie at Theater Row Spring 2019, and looks forward to a number of shows she is working with in development for the coming year. She choreographed the now legendary NFL Super Bowl commercial that featured Eli Manning & Odell Beckham performing to “Dirty Dancing”.
In addition to Hamilton, Stephanie was an original cast member of In The Heights, If/Then as well as the Associate Choreographer of Bring it On she has done her fair share of Off-Broadway, touring and regional work. Tours: the First National Tour of Bombay Dreams, originating the role of Amma in Tea With Chachaji, Associate Choreographing the First National Tour of In The Heights, and all companies US & International of Hamilton. Off Broadway: In The Heights, Hamilton, Automatic Superstar, Repo: the Genetic Opera. Regional: Fly at Dallas Theater center as a performer, Zelda an original musical by Frank Wildhorn, additional choreography with Andy Blankenbuehler at Flatrock Playhouse, the role of Vanessa in In The Heights at PCLO, choreographer of Rock of Ages at Drury Lane.
Commercially she has choreographed for George Michael just before his passing for a piece with Vogue, a number of commercials for Victoria’s Secret, and of course the NFL Super Bowl.
She is a vocalist in the upcoming docuseries about Bob Fosse and looks forward to continuing to expand in many directions, including that of mother. She is due April 2019 with her first child.
She wanted to be on Broadway since before she remembers having a reason, so she doesn’t try to superimpose one. She is grateful to be employed in the field she is most passionate about and hopes to continue to create opportunities for herself and others to effect change through art.
Stephanie lives on the beach with her wife Colleen and their two cats, Tank and Charlie.
